The Spirit of Surfers Residence: Juliaan's Legacy
An athlete with blazing passion for kitesurfing. Juliaan is an IKO & VDWS Kite instructor and a successful founder. He learned how to kitesurf in Fuerteventura 20 years ago and has since then been infected by the kitevirus. To explore the sport to its full potential he has already visited many spots in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, South America and the Caribbean. Tarifa offers him the exact conditions he was looking for. With the SurfersResidence he shares his water sports passion and his several trips’ experience to its guests. Now the house is under new ownership, more watersports and Tarifa enthusiasts, but we think this story about Juliaan is important to the house and its history.

Gibraltar 46 km., Jerez de la Frontera 127 km, Málaga 153 km, Sevilla 217 km. Travelling by plane from Germany and Northern Europe to Andalusia is very simple and inexpensive. You can fly to 4 airports and the flight time is approximately 2-3 hours. From Germany you fly to Malaga or Jerez best, these two airports are controlled by Ryanair, Easyjet, Airberlin, Condor, German Wings and many more. The nearest airport “Gibraltar” is perfect for our British friends. Located further away is the airport of Seville.
Just step out the door of the SurfersResidence and cross the alley. The small cornershop offers variety of things (bread, fruits, drinks, all you need) and its business hours are 8am - 2pm and 5pm - 9pm. There is also a 24h supermarket which is so close to us! Just walk to the Puerta Jerez, walk thru and then 10m left. Just by the Taxi stand. It takes you less than 3 minutes to get there!
You will find plenty of ATMs in Tarifa. The nearest one you will find on the Calle Nuestra Señora de la Luz.
Internet access is available in our house, just ask for the password upon arrival!

We provide you the linen, but please bring your own towels.
Parking in Tarifa is a bit tricky. DO NOT park on the yellow lines your car WILL get towed! The BLUE lines are pay zones, so make sure you display your parking ticket or you WILL be fined.
No Smoking inside- only on the roof terrace or outside the building.
